Gerard von Geyer is an adorable 12 month old Shepherd mix.  He's gentle, good-natured, has a warm heart, is a little shy at first but warms up and then comes and asks for face rubs. Any concerns evaporate when other dogs are around. Gerard loves to make new friends.  His previous owner probably never cared enough to take him out in the world so everything is new and exciting to him.  Smelling and exploring are great fun and he shows it with his happy expressions.  Paddling in his water dish is a fun game.  His first cat test went well.  He saw a cat, turned his head and walked away because he had something else to do.  He does well with other dogs in the playgroup at the shelter and largely keeps to himself, never causing a bit of trouble.  On the smaller side, he'll make a great family dog. When he trusts a person, he will ask for attention in his gentle manner, and you will be the happiest person around.  Come and meet joyous Gerard;  he’ll greet you with his famous smile, but he’ll be even happier if you take him home!
